Dear Mallon family,
We are so very sorry to hear of the “Mr. Mallon’s” passing. For the past 30 years we have lived across the street, yet we often still feel like the new kids on the block. Your husband and dad was a fixture for our family as the resident “go-to nature guy.” We watched him walk into the woods many years ago with his hunting gear, and asked for advice when our son saw a large snake while mowing the lawn, (he came across the street with his scythe). He always had biscuits for our dog Suzy when I sometimes brought him the mail in winter, and more recently made us hold our collective breath as we watched him drive up to the mailbox to retrieve mail on other occasions. He also voiced concern about our family’s tough times. We will all miss him. All of our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Love,
Gerry, Jerry, Mike, Dan, & Owen Purcell
