Obituary of Kenneth C. Goebel Jr.

Greenwood Lake, NY - Formerly of the Bronx

Mr. Kenneth Goebel Jr, a resident of Greenwood Lake passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick. He was 87. The son of Kenneth (Charlie) & Mae Zampino Goebel Kenneth was born June 2, 1932, in the Bronx.

Kenneth followed his father into the elevator field starting as an elevator mechanic & then becoming foreman.

In the early 70's he moved his family out of the Bronx buying his first home in Greenwood Lake, NY & commuted daily for many years to Central International Elevator Co in New York City until he retired. He loved everything electronic & had all kinds of gadgets. He was extremely intelligent & knew everything about anything you needed to know. If you had a problem or didn't know how something worked needed something fixed or just didn't understand something...He always knew how to take care of it for you.

He had a great sense of humor He was witty…sarcastic & always had a quick response for you whether you wanted it or not & that will be greatly missed. He was so loved by his family probably more than he ever knew.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 67yrs Agatha of Greenwood Lake, NY, his daughter Dawn Goebel of Greenwood Lake, NY & many nieces & nephews.

Kenneth was predeceased by his sister Evelyn Goebel (Simon).

There will be no visitation. Burial will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.
