Obituary of Ryan Sydney Monaco
Bainbridge, NY - Formerly of Unionville, NY
Ryan Sydney Monaco, age 30, of Bainbridge, NY, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 17, 2026. Born on August 7, 1995, in Middletown, NY. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at Schaefer Enterprises in Deposit, NY. Ryan was the kind of person who filled a room with laughter and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Ryan grew up surrounded by a large, loving family and carried that sense of togetherness with him throughout his life. He graduated from Porter Ridge High School in Monroe, NC. He played both baseball and football for several years. Athletics came naturally to him but so did just about anything that required skill and determination. Ryan was extremely talented with his hands and had a remarkable ability to take anything apart, fix it and put it back together. He took real pride in that gift. That resourcefulness and determination defined so much of who he was.
The outdoors was where Ryan felt most at home. He loved hunting and fishing, traditions that he shared with his father and siblings from an early age. Those trips meant the world to him. As he grew older, Ryan carried that love of nature forward to his own children, his three greatest achievements in life. He was an amazing father who made sure his kids knew the beauty of the great outdoors. The family took frequent hikes together, and rest assured photos always followed. Ryan was funny, compassionate and had a flair for fun which made every adventure with him one to remember.
Ryan is survived by his mother Victoria Monaco of Unionville, NY, his brothers Cody and Sophie of Pine Bush, NY, Kyle and Samantha of Milford PA, Darrell Conklin and Kim of Montgomery, NY, Eric, Jason, Ty, Isaiah and Sebastian and; his sisters Nicole, Julia, and Natalie all of Unionville, NY, his partner, Naomi of 12 years and his three children Steven, Everett, and Addison of Bainbridge, NY, Aunt Dee and Andre of Moulton, Alabama and Auntie K and Rob of Monroe, North Carolina. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Patsy Monaco and his brother Brandon. Ryan also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though his time here was too short, Ryan's spirit lives on in the laughter he shared, the things that he built and fixed, the trails he walked, and the love he gave freely to those around him. May he find peace and everlasting rest knowing how deeply he was loved and how brightly his memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
