Florence Irene Gribb, September 10, 1934 – November 9, 2016 Florence Irene Gribb Florida, NY Florence Gribb, aka Floodka, a beloved and awesome Mother, Babci, Great-Babci, Sister and Aunt passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years of age. The daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Mazur Pason, Florence was born September 10, 1934, at the Pason home in Pine Island, NY. Her Polish roots were very meaningful and she truly enjoyed polka music and delicious polish food. Florence was a wonderful cook and made pierogis, golumpki and the best potato pancakes! Her great-grandchildren say “Babci Pina Colada made the most delicious French toast”. Florence enjoyed her computer games and could often be found playing bingo or playing penny slots at a casino. Florence is survived by her four daughters and four favorite son-in-laws: Bonny Martignoni and husband, Dave of Napa, CA, and children: Charlie (Melissa), Sheldon (Jennifer), Christine (Steffan) and Tony. Daughter, Diane Howell and husband Skip of Florida, NY; children: Julie (Corey), Courtney (William), Brooke and Shawn. Daughter Sue Shandra and husband Matt of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Sue’s children; Lynn (Joe) and son Chris Kimiecik (Megan). Daughter Roxanne Strom and husband, Rick of Endicott, NY; and their children: Kylie and Corey. Florence is further survived by her sisters; Kathy Finkle of San Antonio, FL; Mary Ann Pason of Pine Island, NY and Carol Phelps of North Fort Myers, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. Florence has 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was always so proud of her daughters and grandchildren and bragged to her friends that “all my grandchildren have college degrees.” Florence was predeceased by her husband, Mike Gribb; brothers, Joe Pason, Fred Pason; as well as her sister, Frances Lozier. A family statement reads: “Our family has so many fond memories and funny stories; we will miss her dearly. She will live forever in our hearts. Babci was a hard worker who always put her family first. She will be remembered for her laughter, smile and quick wit.” A memorial service will be held privately. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences.
