Obituary of Zbigniew Galka

Zbigniew Galka, a resident of Plantsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT. He was 89. The son of the late Adam and Anna Opak Galka, Zbigniew was born on January 6, 1930 in his native home of Poland.
Mr. Galka served in the United States Army and upon his discharge went on to work as a Building Superintendent for Lincoln Towers in New York City.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 11:00am to 11:30am at St. Stanislaus R.C. Church, 82 Akron St, Meriden, CT 06450. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30am. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, 250 Gypsy Lane in Meriden.
