Obituary of Nancy Moeller
Otisville, NY
Nancy Jean Moeller, age 56, left earth to be with our Lord on Friday, June 5, 2020. She passed surrounded by her husband Ernie, daughter Kristen, and precious furbabies. Nancy was born September 10, 1963 in Manhasset, New York into an Irish family of 7 children. She grew up in New Jersey and later moved to New York City to be an Emergency Medical Technician with FDNY EMS, where she met her husband Ernie on a 911 call.
After their daughter Kristen was born, they moved to Orange County, New York where Nancy enjoyed being a stay at home mom for a few years, before returning to school for her nursing degree. Nancy received her Associates of Science in Nursing from SUNY Orange and began a career at Orange Regional Medical Center, a place she loved because of the amazing people she was able to work with every day. She continued to work as a nurse at ORMC until her tragic diagnosis with brain cancer in August 2019. She fought her diagnosis bravely and faithfully for 10 months.
Even after her diagnosis, Nancy continued to enjoy the things she loved most including crafts, social gatherings, and spending time with her family. She would often make handmade candles and skin products for friends and family. She loved any excuse for a get together and had a knack for party planning and decorating. She enjoyed making others laugh, which was easy around her with her own contagious laugh and liveliness. Nancy was a dance machine and truly danced like no one was watching whenever she had the chance. Her friends and family were the joy of her life.
Nancy was pre-deceased by her father Walter Lawlor. She is survived by her husband Ernie, daughter Kristen, mother Joan Lawlor, and six siblings Laurie Kalch, Walter Lawlor Jr, Donna Famularo, Jerry Lawlor, Joanie Tuholsky, Adele Gillman, and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her Granddog Koda, and six furbabies Dolly, Buster, Bella, Pebbles, Dusty, and Maggie.
A private graveside service will take place on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Mount Hope Plains Cemetery, Mount Hope Road in Otisville with Pastor Ben Willis officiating.
