Obituary of Victoria Elizabeth Newman

New Rochelle, NY

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Victoria Elizabeth Newman of New Rochelle, NY, age 63, on February 18, 2021. Victoria was born on June 22, 1957 in Clarendon, Jamaica to the late Sydney and Julia (Williams) Newman. Victoria married her beloved husband Cedric Winn on May 31, 2014 in New Rochelle, NY. Victoria was blessed with five children.

Victoria worked as a Nurse’s Aide for the United Hebrew Nursing Home in New Rochelle, NY and was a proud member of SEIU 1199 in the Bronx, NY for nearly 40 years. Victoria took great pride in serving her patients with love and compassion. 

Victoria had a great love for flowers and was known for her beautiful floral arrangements. She was a certified Florist with an uncanny ability to bring floral ideas to life. This special talent allowed her to quickly become a popular internet influencer, as her warm and heartfelt floral video tutorials quickly gained attention amongst floral creators. She would create as well as care for her lovely home garden where she planted various types of flowers. 

Victoria was a perfectionist at heart, and excelled in all aspects of her life. She received several distinguished awards for her contributions with the Avon Sales Team. Victoria worked diligently on increasing sales during her time with the company, and eventually became number 2 in the district. Most of all Victoria found great joy in spending time with her loving family. Victoria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Victoria is survived by her beloved husband Cedric Winn of New Rochelle, NY, her loving children, Clive Moore,  Melissa Moore, Marie Guscott, Courtney Guscott and Collin Guscott, along with her fifteen adoring grandchildren, Courtney Guscott, Giovonni William Breiten, Daveah Pryncess Clarke, Shanell Stewart, Lorenzo Jackson, Leroy Perrion, Ivana Bucknall Guscott Nwosu, Ebony Bucknall Guscott Nwosu, Kelly Bucknall Guscott Nwosu,Devante Bucknall Guscott, Cyncere Tavian Moore, Pariis Noelle Moore, Kadence Marie Moore, Tzion Amiir Moore and Autumn Lyric Moore. She also leaves behind two brothers, Gentle and Eddie and four sisters, Paulette, Beverly, Amy and Valerie. 

Victoria was predeceased by her brothers, Lloyd Newman and Donald Williams and her grandson, Jovelle Stewart. 

A graveside service to celebrate and honor Victoria’s life will be held, 11:00am on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 80 Commerce St, Hawthorne, NY 10532 where she will be laid to rest.
