Obituary of Michael J. Federowski

Westtown, NY

Michael J. Federowski of Westtown, NY passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was 51. Michael was born on January 10, 1970, in Staten Island, NY.

 

Michael was a FDNY 9/11 first responder and survivor.  He enjoyed his career as a fireman and retired as a Fire Marshall in 2012. Mike always said, “I would do it again if I could.” Michael had a heart of gold and anyone who met him knew so instantly. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Michael was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 16365 and had a very strong and unique relationship with God. He also had a very strong passion for music, hunting, cars & fishing.

 

Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years; Jennifer, his children; Michael and Jacquelyn, who he loved very much, as well as his dogs; Bear and King. Michael also was a beloved “Grandpa Mike” to Jackson who was his little buddy.

 

Mike leaves behind many beloved family and friends who equally loved him in return.

 

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 626 County Route 22, South Centerville (Middletown), NY 10940 with Father Michael Palazzo officiating. FDNY services will be observed at this time.

 

A memorial mass will also be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 9:30am Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1265 Castleton Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation or to St. Jude’s Cancer Research.
