My dad was one of my best friends and a loved one towards me. He used to help me build my computers and we would talk about when the next GPU would come out and how sick it would be to build. We played video games a lot and one of my favorite memories was his laugh and his hat. Back in 2018 before COVID-19 we went for sushi and it was very good especially since that's all we talk about in food genres. He loved his Grandma a lot and how he would do anything to see her, I remember the night before he passed that's what we talked about, he said he would get on his knees and cry of joy, that's something that brings joy to my eyes when I think about his passing, but still is sad. I don't think anyone could understand his humor unless they had common sense. My dog Copper Charles III loved my dad, he still looks out the window waiting for his gray truck. My dad also told me his dream house in heaven would be a lake house and the smell of his Grandmas cookies. Me and him loved Video Games, sad enough that was the last thing he was doing before he passed. I will always remember our last memory at the Freedom Tower in Lower Manhattan, New York City. I love you forever Dad.
Love,
Matthaus

Eric was the most loving husband and father. He was not only my husband, he was my best friend. Words cannot express how much Eric will always mean to me and our son. He was also an adored Son-in-law, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Godfather, Cousin, and Nephew. Eric was a loyal friend and dedicated coworker. In addition to his big heart, he had the greatest sense of humor ever. He loved all animals and they loved him! There wasn’t anything Eric couldn’t fix. He was truly the most gifted engineer, mechanic, and tradesman. Eric loved and served our Country and was a true Patriot. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. May God Bless Him and may he Rest In Peace fishing and cooking with his Grandma and Pop by a beautiful lake in Heaven until we meet again.

To our Daughter and Grandson,
There are no words, your Dad and I can say to make your pain go away. We loved Eric like a son and even more for being such a devoted husband to you and father to Matthaus. He was always ready to help, especially when he knew I would make one of his favorite meals, pasta and meatballs. We celebrated every holiday together and Dad and I will cherish those moments forever in our hearts. Stefanie and Ian, thought of Eric, like the brother they never had. He was always up for a new project to do because he loved working side by side with Dad. He would say," Don when is our next playdate", which would make us all smile. Madison, Sofia, and Donovan loved Eric like a second father, and he knew it. He gave the best hugs and always made you feel super special. He had such a great sense of humor and told the best stories over a good cup of coffee, which was as strong as him. Our families were together three days before Eric passed. He was so happy. Dad and I know, Eric is looking down on you and Matthaus and will be your forever Guardian Angel.
Love you Eric and until we meet again, Mom and Dad

May God Bless you my dear childhood friend. I can't help to think of all the fun antics we got into growing up. You always were a true friend and I will miss you till we meet again! Time and life has a way of separating you as you grow older. But memories are forever! Bless you and your family! Amen

Thank you John, Eric always spoke about you and had so many great stories about you two. He loved you. We are devastated by his sudden loss. He will be forever loved and missed. His memory will carry on through his son who he cherished. He was the best and I am lost without him. We are not the same without him. I pray that he is with his family and friends and is at peace in God’s loving arms. Eric we love and miss you always.
