Al was a talented, sweet-natured man who would come to visit me at my art gallery (The Beast with a Million Eyes) on South Broadway in Nyack, always full of enthusiasm, wonder, humor, ideas & great questions. I have missed bumping into him on the street these last few months & wondered how he was doing. Sad, very sad to learn he has gone. I hope he did not suffer. I will miss his firm handshake & ready chuckle, and how he always called me "Podnah." I regret that we could never quite find a space for his work in the gallery, but hope that the family will keep in touch; perhaps we can do something about getting his work out there when I get back on my feet. All good wishes from my heart to you in your- I should say, our loss. - Lex Reibestein.
