Obituary of Desmond De Veaux

Hawthorne, NY

Desmond Keith De Veaux, a resident of Hawthorne, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Westchester Medical Center. He was 58 years old. The Son of Melvin De Veaux and Mary Cabell-De Veaux. Desmond was born on February 25,1966 in New York, NY.

Desmond completed the course of study in special education June 17, 1987. He also attended the Hudson Valley Day Habilitation program.

Desmond is survived by: sisters Danielle De Veaux, Twanna De Veaux, and a brother Joseph Cabell, sister in law Mary Cabell, brother in law George Patterson, Aunt Minta, 11 nieces, 9 nephews, 42 great nieces and nephew, cousins and a host of friends.

Desmond was predeceased by: Father Melvin J. De Veaux and Mother Mary Cabell-De Veaux.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 1652 Central Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10710. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00pm. Interment will immediately follow in the family plot at the Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Ave, Valhalla, NY 10595.
