Obituary of Louise Katherine Mott

Warwick, NY

Louise Mott, a resident of Warwick, NY, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024.  She was 80 years old. The daughter of the late Wilbur E. Christman and Edith Leypoldt Christman, Louise was born in Goshen, NY.

Louise lived most of her life in Greenwood Lake, NY and worked doing several different jobs teaching and working as an insurance broker in several different places in Orange County.

She was a lifelong member of Craigville Bible Church where she taught Sunday School and had a passion for missions.   

Louise is survived by her husband Michael Mott of Warwick, NY, her brother Wilbur Christman and wife Karen of Hebron, CT and brother Paul Christman and wife Patricia of Greenwood Lake, NY and her brother and sister in-laws Claudia and Gary VanVliet, Larry and Karen Byrd, Doreen and Skip Briggs, Cathy and Neal Comstock, David Mott, and Lisa and Rob Culhane. Along with many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Zygmunt-Murtie Funeral Home, 4 Oak Street, Greenwood Lake, NY 10925. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00am at the Craigville Bible Church, 799 Craigville Rd, Chester, NY 10918. Interment will immediately follow in the family plot at the Greenwood Lake Cemetery, 23 Old Dutch Hollow Road, Greenwood Lake, NY. 

Memorial contributions in Louise’s name may be made to the Craigville Bible Church.
